THE SAMPLE PACK



Below is the download link to the SonicFreak Contest Sample Pack. This contains 15 Sonic samples that I haven't touched yet.
You can take your pick of ONE sonic sample, so choose wisely.

You can you use any method of beat making you want with whatever program or tool. As long the instrumental was produced/remixed by you.
It can be either a Hip-Hop or a Trap remix of the Sonic sample. Dubstep, Techno or anything the goes beyond the Hip-Hop or Trap genre, won't
qualify. (I actually had someone submit a dubstep remix in my previous Sonic rap beat contest)


YOUR VIDEO



When you're done with your beat, you need to create a video and upload it on YouTube. Your video has a couple of requirements.

First, your video must have a Sonic related picture to whatever game you're sampling.
Secondly, after you found your Sonic picture, somewhere on it, it must have:

It must be throughout the video. This is to help bring awareness about SonicFreak Forums to any Sonic fans that may stumbleacross your video.



In exchange, your beat will be added into the playlist which will be featured on my YouTube page and website.



You will need an image editor of some sort to add the text to the image, like Photoshop. I actually have a download in the link below.

Also, you will be submitting a high quality mp3 to add to the Sonic Rap Beat Collection for download.
Your YouTube will be credited and this will gain you more exposure to your music. Tracklisting will be ranked based off judge votes (explained later).

For the download link to mp3, you can use websites like mediafire, zippyshare or dropbox.

JUDGING

There will be a seperate 3rd update explaining how judging will work.
The judging information video and thread will be released 48 hours before the due date of submissions.
But to give a hint, there will be 3 tiers of voting.

• 1st Place - Beat based off skill and creativity (Otaku D. Furiku will be voting with me)
  
• 2nd Place - My personal favorite (Can be highly creative and catchy, but lack music skill)
  
• 3rd Place - Public open votes. The public can choose their winner.
  

Accounting all of the tier votes, the tracklisting of the mixtape collection will be in order based off most to least votes.
But either way, everyone will have an equal opportunity to gain some type of exposure and opportunity.
