★ Sonic CD: SonicFreak Edition ★

Sonic CD SonicFreak Edition aka Sonic CD Remastered, is a soundtrack hack featuring new music for Sonic CD for the Sega/Mega CD. This includes a mixture of the American and Japanese soundtracks of Sonic CD, remixed by yours truely.



This is also a hack of Sonic Plus Plus Edition, which features enhanced controls for the Sega/Mega CD version. Even though a couple of these isn't considered new (as this version came out before the 2012 Sega re-release), it is still worth noting.

• Sonic the Hedgehog 2 style Spin dash (hold Down to duck, press A/B/C to charge)
  
• Sonic the Hedgehog Megamix style homing attack (pressing A/B/C while in a ball)
  
• Air Roll (when in the air without being in a ball, press A/B/C/Down to curl into a ball)
  
• Air speed cap removed
  
• Mini-Sonic can now do the spin dash.
  

Now the big one. The soundtrack. This soundtrack hack will apply to all tracks except for the past versions (due to it being hard coded in the game). However all the present, good future, bad future and menu music will be changed.

Since this in progress, I will have completed and incompleted tracks highlighted in color. Green = Complete. Completed tracks will also include a YouTube and Soundcloud link for you to listen until the entire OST is completed and released for full download.

Sonic CD is one of my top favorite Sonic games. The game soundtrack alone inspired me to do Sonic remixes and beats as DJ SonicFreak. This soundtrack project originally started back in 2009 and was called "Sonic CD Remastered". This had being going on and off for a few years as I learned different ways of producing music.

Since SEGA technically made a Remastered version in 2012 (ironically when I announced my version a year before), I decided to rename the project into "Sonic CD: SonicFreak Edition" instead. This will be the final attempt and release and should be out in January 2016.

There's a lot of models leftover to add in, menus to customize and I gotta clean up the junk files to upload on servers, so it might be up by March 1st or sooner. Can't make any promises, but that's the estimate
